So, Andrew has been having a wonderful summer. He has learned to walk and he has begun to talk. He loves all the walks in his stroller and playing in the yard. However, we have been having a new problem with our little Andrew. He has begun to bite, hard and often. He bit me so hard last night it left a mark on my arm. We expect of course that he is teething again. He currently has 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom. We are giving him plenty of teething toys, but he throws them down immediately. We push him away and tell him "No Biting!" But, he continues to try to bite constantly. Any suggestions? My fear is that he'll bite another child at daycare and we'll really be in trouble.
Another update is that work for me is going really well! I enjoy the cases so far and the amount of travel won't be as bad as they made it out to be. I'll try to post some pictures this week. Our camera battery died, but it should be up and running again today!

It had to happen. I think just about every toddler becomes a biter at some point, don't they? I have no idea how to handle this, but will look to you for good advice. I doubt daycare will have to much of a problem with it b/c I imagine they deal with it all the time???
Chenoa- Hopefully it is something that they do and grow out of later. My concern is just that I hear all the time "my kid got kicked out of daycare for biting." So, I don't know if that is just one of those things you feel like you hear a lot, but in reality never happens? I'll let you know if we find something that works. I tried a new frozen teething ring last night and it helped for almost 30 min. so that is a start!
My advice: don't stress! Jenna was a scratcher! The worst thing was to walk in and see a folded note at d/c and I knew she had scratched someone that day. There is a biter in Shelby's room and she gets her every week--but I understand and harbor no bad feelings. So hopefully you will have patient, understanding parents like me!!!! :) Its just a phase-he will grow out of it and go on to something else like whining or talking back!!
Beth- thanks for the advice. It is good to hear that it is common and usually they grow out of it! Can I tell you how excited I am for the whining and talking back, it's always something.
Jenna's current favorite is to tell me she's not going to be my best friend anymore if I don't do or say what she wants....BUT I did get her goat when I told once that I already had a best friend.
